Mrs. Myra Louise Pope Young, 57 of Lexington, NC passed away Monday evening November 21, 2011 at the Hinkle Hospice House after battling cancer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm at Psalm 91 Church (930 Michael Road) on Saturday November 26, 2011 by Pastor Max Shoaf.

Myra was born September 23, 1954 in Lexington to Alvin and Louise Leonard Pope.  Myra was retired from the restaurant business.  She was married to Gene Ray Young who preceded her in death November 15, 2007. 

Along with her parents Myra is survived by her companion service dog “Taco”; her 3 children, sons Ashley Young and companion Angie, Kevin Young and wife Kallie; daughter Cassie Young Miller and husband Chris; seven grandchildren, Kayla and Gene Young, Kenslie and Kaden Young and Tyler, Chase, and Ryley Miller all of Lexington; and her brother Barry Pope and wife Marie,

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292.
