Elinor Ann Howell, or Mammy by those that knew her best, mother to Gale Dean Howell Jr. (Butch) and Mark Timothy Howell, passed away on June 23, 2023, after a long battle with numerous health issues.
Known for her humor and always wanting to make sure everyone was fed; Elinor will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Elinor’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing.
Elinor was preceded in death by Father Harry and Mother Elizabeth. One sister Gertie, and three bothers Harry, James and Noel. Her husband Gale. One grandson Trey and one great grandson Anthony.
She leaves behind one sister Juliette Sige. Two sons Gale Dean Howell Jr. (Maggie) and Mark Timothy Howell (Lisa). Three grandchildren Candace Howell Shamblin (Jay), Dustin Clay Howell (Penny) and Michael Timothy Howell. Five great grandchildren: Trae, Quinton (Maria), Nicolas, Irelynn and Cainan.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Kathy, of Margate Health and Rehab.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
