Jack Smith Obituary

Jack Austin Smith went home to be with our lord on Friday morning, May 5,2023.

He was born July 31st, 1961, in Stokes County to the late Henry and Jennie Smith.

He served in the Marine Corp as a young man. Jack enjoyed being outside and being around his family, which he enjoyed cooking for.

In addition to his parents Jack was preceded in death by his beloved son Frank Blankenship III and 2 brothers: William and Rick Smith.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Brenda of 28 years; 4 sons Jack Smith (Heather), Cody Smith (Ana) , Jonathan Blankenship (Christian) & Luke Smith (Lynn); 12 grandkids Alexis Blankenship, Brylee Blankenship, Griffin Smith, Harley Smith, Bennett Smith, JonHenry Blankenship, Ollie, Randy Dalton, Gunnar Dalton, CJ Smith, Marley Smith & Addison Lowry; 3 sisters Melissa(Milton), Shirley & Rhonda; 3 Brothers Dirwood(Selena), Sherman (Judy) & John; and several nieces and nephews.

There will not be a funeral service but the family will be having a celebration of life at a later date. The family will be having visitors at their son’s home, Cody Smith.

The family would like to thank Trellis of Stokes County Hospice staff for all the love and care they provided for Jack and his family.
