Mr. James Garfield Lapish, Jr., age 66 of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

James was born on February 22, 1956 in Salisbury, NC to the late James Garfield Lapish, Sr. & Martha Madeline Richardson.

Mr. Lapish proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Private First Class. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He received his honorable discharge in 1976.

James was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed time with his family and loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his brother Vance Lapish, two daughters Lindsey Reeves (Richard) and Ashley Beal, seven grandchildren: Ella, Sawyer, Lukas, Jacob, Raegan, Connor, and Madelyn. James is greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
