John Tildon Randles

John Tildon Randles, 67, of Clemmons, NC, passed away on May 4, 2023, at the Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem, NC. John was born on March 13, 1956, in Orange, CA, to Harvey and Geraldine Randles, and was one of 15 siblings.

John was a man of many talents and interests. He learned carpentry from his father at a young age and continued to work in construction and maintenance throughout his life. He was also a man of faith and held several leadership positions in various churches throughout his life. Currently he attended Reynolda Church. John earned his Master's degree in Christian Education with a minor in Theology from Golden Gate Baptist Seminary. He chartered Lakeland Community Church in Rathdrum, ID and served as Senior Pastor. John was an ordained deacon and minister of the gospel. He was a veteran, having served in the Army from 1974-1976, and Army Reserves from 1976-1980.

John was known for his kind and gentle soul and was loved by anyone who had the opportunity to get to know him. In later years, he enjoyed working as a volunteer at Easter's Promise Ranch, a horse ranch accommodating disabled veterans. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. John enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.

John is survived by his wife, Paula Wright Randles, his son Alexander Randles, his daughter Jenna Randles, his grandson Isaac Pleger, his sisters Bonnie, Debbie and Cindy, brothers Hollis "Bud" (Judy), Curtis (Jill), Jim, Taz (Lisa), Randy, and Tommy, his stepchildren Blake Glover, Katya Homyakova (Troy Moore) and Olga Aura, his step grandchildren Ivan and Mila Anderson and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Geraldine Randles, his brothers Kenneth, Richard, Steven, Donald, Dennis Randles, and sister-in-law Robin Thatcher Randles.

A private family service will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023, with a Celebration of Life on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 4:00 PM at Reynolda Church in the Sanctuary. Visitation will be held in the Chapel from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The Randles family will also hold a time of remembrance for John at their next reunion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kate B Reynolds Hospice House through Trellis Support or to a memorial fund to help with John's medical cost and final expenses. John will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His gentle spirit and kind heart will be remembered forever.
