Obituary

June King Widdoes age 88, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side at Harmony at Brookberry Farms, Winston-Salem, NC.

Born in Elkton, MD to the later George and Gertrude King of Elkton, MD in 1933. She graduated 1950 from Elkton Hight School and then married the love of her life Walter H. Widdoes in January 1951.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by sisters and their husbands Elaine Bryant (Andy), Maryann Brown (Leonard), Lois Young (Wayne) and brother and his wife George King (Susie) and her beloved furry friend Fella.

June was known for her love of her family, golf and dancing.

You couldn't keep her off the golf course or a dance floor if one was around. June and her husband Bud also loved to travel and over the years of their retirement saw most of the world. She never met a stranger and made friends no matter where they traveled or lived.

June is survived by her loving husband Walter H. Widdoes of 69 years, her daughter Deborah Shelburne (Thomas) and son David Widdoes (Kathryn), two grandchildren Blaire Mathis (Adam), David Shelburne (Jamie) and four great grandsons Braden Mathis, Hunter Shelburne, Collin Mathis and Andrew Shelburne and many nieces and nephews.
