Mary Legg went home to Jesus on March 04, 2023 at age 84.
Mary was born to Clarence and Goldie Dorsey on August 16, 1938 in Quinwood, West Virginia. Mary met her husband Bobby Joe Legg in Quinwood and they were married when she was 16 until his death in 2013. They had two children, Teresa Peterson (Winston-Salem, NC) and Alan Legg (Salisbury, NC). She was a dedicated and loving mother who stayed home to raise her children. Mary also loved watching her Pittsburgh Steelers, West Virginia Mountaineers, political shows, reading, shopping and traveling with her husband to jobs when he was alive. Mary served in the youth ministry at Lower Falls Baptist Church in St. Albans for many years. After marriage she lived in Newport News and Smithfield Virginia. She raised her children in St. Albans, West Virginia and retired to Eleanor, West Virginia until her husband passed. She spent her final years living with her daughter in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she passed peacefully under hospice care. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Mary joins her dad and mom Clarence and Goldie Dorsey, her beloved brother Jimmy Dorsey, Sister- in -Law Linda Dorsey, Brother- in- Law Bernard Legg and many friends and other family in Heaven. She is survived by her daughter Teresa Peterson, son Alan Legg and 6 grandchildren: Josh, Alex, Luke, Mandy, Aaron and Matthew. She can now behold God in all of His Glory. Mom's prayer in life was to see all her children, grandchildren and friends know and love God.
