Perry Cole Obituary

Perry William Cole, 80, of Winston-Salem, N.C., formerly of Vermilion, OH, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022, from a sudden illness.

He was born Dec. 26, 1941, in Warren, OH, grew up in Greene, OH and lived in Vermilion, OH for 40 years before moving to Winston-Salem, N.C.

He was a 50-year member of the Ohio Operating Engineers and a member of the Huron Eagles Club.

He enjoyed boating, fishing and playing cards.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia Ann Parsons Cole; children, Robert Shawn (Gloria) Cole of Salt Lake City, Utah and Kimberly Cole of Winston-Salem, N.C.; grandsons, Bradley (Brittney) Cole of Rocky River and Brandon Cole of Brooklyn, N.Y.; cousin, Ivan (Kenny) Waddell of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Mae Cole Sprankle; and maternal grandparents, Edwin and Blanche Artman Cole.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the ALS Foundation, 6133 Rockside Road, No. 301, Independence, OH 44131 or American Heart Association, 137 E. 9th St., No. 600, Cleveland, Ohio 44114.
