Peter Harvey, 67, of Lexington, NC peacefully passed away, surrounded by loving family on February 10, 2024.
He was a dedicated patriarch, a skilled tradesman, and an animal enthusiast. Peter’s sense of humor and ability to laugh at even the toughest of situations endeared him to all who knew him. He had a knack for finding joy and laughter in life’s challenges, spreading positivity wherever he went. Peter loved life and created fun for those in his company.
Born September 10, 1956 in Bronx, NY, Peter then shared 23 years of unwavering companionship with his beloved wife, Monica Harvey, who stood by his side as a pillar of strength. He was a devoted father to his sons, Michael and Billy, and daughters Marifer (deceased) and Ana.
The center of Peter’s universe was his grandchildren, Zoe, Lily and Jack, whom he adored with all his heart. And he had a big heart. He cherished every moment with them, sharing stories, laughter, and unconditional love.
Peter is also survived by his sisters, Pam Schaneen, Pat Youghar, and Vicky Lynott, who were a source of love and support throughout his life.
An ardent lover of animals, Peter found solace and joy in the company of his cherished pets, including his beloved dogs and birds. His compassionate nature extended to all creatures great and small.
In his professional life, Peter was a skilled tradesman known for his extensive knowledge and remarkable ability to fix anything. These career skills greatly assisted him in navigating life’s challenges, both professionally and personally. His expertise spanned various industries, and his knack for troubleshooting and problem solving made him invaluable in every task he undertook.
Though he may have left this earthly world, Peter leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, strength and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
