Obituary

Mr. Dannie Gene Ewing, Jr., 63, of Kernersville passed away on July 28, 2023 at his home.

Born in Huntington, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Dannie Gene and Ruth Mae (Scott) Ewing and husband of Carolyn Ewing.

Dannie loved everyone and never met a stranger. He spread positivity and kindness everywhere he went.

Dannie is survivd by is loving wife, Carolyn Ewing. He is also survived by his 5 sons; Ronald (Christina) Ewing, Christopher (Courtney) Ewing, Justin Ewing, Maurice (Alesa-Van) Ewing and Jotae (Emily) Buckhannon; a bonus son, Curtis Jackson, II (Ireland); his grandkids, Jaeleigh, Jasiyah, Kaylee, Aniyah, Amaris, Tayzhon, Baylor, Michael, and Noel; four grandkids overseas; three sisters, Virginia McGhee (John) Frazier, Gay McGhee (Burnette) Dotson, and Lilly Ewing Relf; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and great friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas McGhee, Cornelius McGhee, and Austin McGhee; his sister, Beverly McGhee Dickey; and his brother-in-love, Calvin Rowlings.

Reverend Dannie Ewing was ordained and spiritually led by God's True Word, Romans 10: 9-10.
