Roger Dale Naylor

Mr. Roger "Dale" Naylor, 70, of Mocksville, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on June 6, 2023 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home due to serious medical issues.

Dale was born on September 24, 1952 to the late Lester Franklin Naylor and Dorothy Lee Reavis Naylor.

Dale was a very hard worker and great provider for his family. He worked for Crown Wood Products for 15 years. Dale also worked as a security guard for Jockey and Ingersoll-Rand. He really enjoyed his days as a guard.

Dale loved his family very much and they loved him. His best days were spent at the beach every summer, along with camping with his family. When the grandchildren came along, he loved to spend time with them by playing putt-putt, swimming in the pool, fishing, and playing arcade games.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary D. Naylor. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Darlene Allen Naylor; his son Matthew D. Naylor; his daughter Amanda N. Bailey; son-in-law Michael W. Bailey; and 3 grandchildren; Matthew D Naylor Jr "MJ", Parker L. Bailey and Zowie A. Bailey. Survivors also include 3 brothers, Terry Franklin Naylor (Martha), David Lee Naylor, Roy Lester Naylor (Pam), and sister-in-law Delphia Naylor, all of Mocksville; several nieces and nephews; and aunt Geneva Renegar.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for taking such great care of Dale during his last days. We sincerely appreciate all the prayers and acts of kindness.

A graveside service will be conducted at 4:30pm on Sunday, June 25 at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery (2433 Liberty Church Rd, Mocksville) with Rev. Noel Hawks officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered to Trellis Supportive Care (KBR), 101 Hospice Ln. Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
