My prayers are with all of you. I knew Myra since high school, and I used to love to go visit with she and Gene when they ran the restaurant.  We had a casual, friendly relationship over the years. When she lost Gene and got sick herself, we talked quite a bit. I wanted to help her all I could, as my husband has been a cancer patient for six years, and I know of the struggles it brings. We wanted to get together and eat BBQ and never got the chance because the chemo started to make her so sick. But I never stopped lifting her up in prayer and letting her know I cared.  I'm thankful that we could keep in touch on FB, even till near the very end. I'm grateful that I knew Myra, and her strong spirit and faith is an example to all of us. May God hold you in his arms and be your comfort. And as for my friend, Myra, she's with her Lord, and at peace.

I remember playing many times with Myra as my mom purchased cloth from her mom to make my clothes.  Myra was a very special friend throughout the years and I shall miss her greatly.  Many times we were in classes together.  Remember the laughter she brought to you and hold that in your hearts.  This will comfort you in these days of sorrow.  My thoughts and prayers shall be with you.

I am so sad to hear of Myra's passing. Myra was my best friend in the whole world while we were growing up. I loved her so much! I remember her horse Brownie and and her playing the piano. We played monopoly all the time. I can still see her walking down the railroad tracks coming to see me. Please know that all the Byars family are sadden by her passing. RIP Myra.
